What you will learn
Obstruction of the right ventricular outflow tract (RVOT) is not uncommon. This chapter will describe the anatomy of the RVOT, how to visualize the RVOT and at which level obstruction can occur. In addition, in this chapter, you will find out which forms of pulmonic stenosis you might encounter and what a "double-chambered right ventricle is." As always, we provide many case examples.
Topics:
- Anatomy of the RVOT
- When to expect RVOT obstruction
- Imaging of the RVOT
- Infundibular/ subinfundibular obstruction
- Valvular obstruction (pulmonic stenosis)
- Supravalvular obstruction
- Pulmonary pressure in RVOT obstruction
- Tetrology of fallot and RVOT obstruction
